How to Link Your Domain to a Funnel or Website

A domain is simply an address. It helps us easily direct people where to go and is typically easy to remember. This article will show you how to link your domain and/or subdomain to your funnels and websites hosted in GoalGetters

Step-By-Step Diections:

To connect a new domain to a site in GoalGetters, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the "Sites and Domains" section.
  2. Click on "Add Domain".
  3. If you already have your domain pointing to a website elsewhere and you don't want to override it, add a subdomain instead of the root domain.
  4. For example, if your domain is "freesongfunnel.com", add a subdomain like "Kaila.freesongfunnel.com".
  5. Click "Continue" to set up the domain.
  6. If you have Cloudflare as your domain provider, you can easily authorize the domain and let GoalGetters add the record for you.
  7. If you have a different domain provider, you may need to manually add the records. Cloudflare is recommended for easier integration.
  8. Once the domain is authorized, you can link it to your funnel or website.
  9. Select the funnel step you want the domain to point to, typically the "Home" step.
  10. You can also set up a 404 page for broken links, but it's not necessary.
  11. Click "Link Domain" to complete the process.
  12. The domain will now redirect to your site, and it will be live.
  13. You can use this domain for QR codes or shoutouts to your audience.
  14. Repeat this process for each domain you want to connect to your site in GoalGetters.

FAQs + Common Errors:

If you're still facing issues after going through the steps above, please see these common errors and their solutions:

  • "It's not adding the records like in your video, instead it's showing me this:"

  • "OMG! My old website is gone. Did I lose everything I've been building all these years?"
    • No! As long as you've paid for your hosting, whatever you've built is still there. However, it's likely that you accidently connected your root domain to GoalGetters and overrode the records that linked to your previous website!
    • Even if you try and delete the domain in GoalGetters, it will not revert back. This is because you have to contact your host to re-connect your website. It's out of my hands, sorry! But once those records are added back, your site will re-appear.
